In 2013, the French Institute undertook the refurbishment and modernisation of all of its library facilities. This involved the renovation and extension of the existing Children’s Library. As well as remedial works, the existing ground floor library space was refurbished and the Children’s library extended into the basement floor below, previously archive space, to provide new accommodation across approximately 200m2. AMR supported with the review of an earlier concept scheme and development of the proposals through engagement with the client team to develop the design brief.
